BPOSACCOS Sponsors Members and Staff to Participate in BTC Francistown Marathon

As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting health and wellness, the Botswana Public Officers Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (BPOSACCOS) proudly sponsored five members and staff to participate in the BTC Francistown Marathon, one of the country’s premier running events.
The sponsorship is aligned with BPOSACCOS’s broader wellness agenda aimed at encouraging an active lifestyle among its members and employees. The event, which brought together fitness enthusiasts from across Botswana and the African region, offered various race categories - including 3km peace run, 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km distances — fostering community spirit and physical wellbeing.
“Supporting participation in events like the BTC Francistown Marathon is part of our strategy to promote not only financial health, but physical and mental wellbeing as well,” said Gosego Makhamis, Business Development and Marketing Officer at BPOSACCOS.
The five participants, proudly representing the Society, trained in the weeks leading up to the event and completed their respective races with determination and enthusiasm. For many, it was a first-time experience that inspired continued commitment to fitness.
“It was an amazing opportunity,” said Gaontebale Nkwe, one of the sponsored participants. “The energy, the challenge, and the support from BPOSACCOS made it truly unforgettable.”
