BPOSACCOS Hosts First-Ever Wellness Day to Promote Healthy Living Among Members
Gaborone, Botswana
The Botswana Public Officers Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (BPOSACCOS) successfully hosted its inaugural Wellness Day at the Lekidi Football Centre in Gaborone, drawing over 250 members for a day focused on health, fitness, and personal development.
This first-of-its-kind event, held under the theme “Healthy Body, Healthy Finances,” featured a wide range of engaging activities including Zumba, aerobics, yoga, and wellness talks. The program also included financial literacy coaching and a data protection workshop, reinforcing the Society’s holistic approach to member wellbeing.
“Our goal with this initiative is to encourage members to adopt healthy, active lifestyles while also empowering them with knowledge around financial wellness and digital safety,” said Ms Basebi Molosiwa, Chief Executive Officer at BPOSACCOS.
Participants of all ages took part in the energetic fitness sessions, guided by certified instructors, followed by interactive sessions on budgeting, saving, and personal data security — key pillars of modern wellbeing.
The Wellness Day reflects BPOSACCOS’s broader commitment to supporting its members not just financially, but physically and mentally as well. The overwhelming turnout and positive feedback suggest the event could become a regular feature on the organization’s calendar.
“It was refreshing to see members come together in such a positive environment. We left feeling energized, informed, and more connected as a community,” shared one attendee.
